Support for the transportation of cancer patients to consultations and treatments

The Portuguese League Against Cancer is a national reference in supporting cancer patients and their families, promoting health, preventing cancer and encouraging training and research in oncology.
Its aims are:
- Disseminate information about cancer and promote health education, with an emphasis on cancer prevention;
- Contribute to social support and the humanization of care for cancer patients at all stages of the disease;
- Cooperate with institutions involved in the field of oncology, namely the Francisco Gentil Portuguese Institute of Oncology Centres and the Hospitals of the Autonomous Regions;
- Stimulate and support training and research in oncology;
- Establish and maintain relations with similar national and foreign institutions;
- Develop structures for primary and secondary prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, alone or in collaboration with other entities;
- Defend the rights of cancer patients and survivors.

Note: Some institutions covered by the MEOS Program only issue receipts once a year, before the IRS submission period where these receipts can be declared.
