Lar Marista de Ermesinde, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS), is a specialized residential care home for children and young people with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses and their situation of danger. It has existed since September 1994 and has 23 places for children and young people of both sexes.
Objective
Specific school / therapeutic material to enhance and stimulate the cognitive, sensory, affective, motor, communicative and social skills of disabled children and young people living at the Home.

In order to care for these children and young people, the Home has different work teams made up of professionals from Social Education, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Nursing, as well as educational and support service assistants.
In addition to daily care, the Home provides children and young people with a range of therapies necessary for their development, such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology and Nursing, as well as complementary services such as Neuropsychology, Kinesiotherapy, Music Therapy, Sensory Integration, Early Intervention, Group Intervention Programs and Special Education.
