Support for the population affected by the Kristin Depression.
Following the Kristin Depression that affected central Portugal on January 28, AMI is providing support to the victims of this natural disaster. At a time when the most basic needs of the local population are seriously compromised, AMI's mission is to provide essential goods to the community, as well as to support the reconstruction of homes in the most affected areas.
Founded in 1984, AMI is a Portuguese, private, independent, non-political and non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose mission is to bring humanitarian aid and promote human development, taking into account Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals in the areas of health, social and environmental issues, anywhere in the world, regardless of race, gender, age, nationality, language, politics, religion, philosophy or social position, looking at each person as a unique, irreplaceable being, worthy of attention and care.
