At the end of the 13th century, the Mongol Empire razed entire nations to the ground in its campaign to conquer the East. The island of Tsushima is all that stands between Japan and a huge invading Mongol fleet led by the cunning and ruthless general Khotun Khan.
With the island burning after the first Mongol onslaught, the samurai Jin Sakai prevails as one of the last members of his clan. He is determined to do anything, at any cost, to protect his people and save his land. He will have to renounce the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the ghost, and wage an atypical war for Tsushima's freedom.
